ConnectAVendor.com ("ConnectAVendor", "we", "us") is an online directory that helps people planning events find local event vendors. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Customers requesting quotes: your name, email, phone number, event details (type, date, guest count, location, budget, services needed) and any message you write.
- Vendors requesting a listing: business name, contact name, email, phone, website, service categories, service area, business description, photos you upload and the plan you choose.
- Other forms: information you submit in inquiries, reviews, listing-removal requests and the contact form.
- Payments: paid vendor plans are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. Stripe shares with us the plan purchased, the amount, and the email used at checkout.
- Basic technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider may log IP addresses, browser type and pages visited to keep the site secure and working.
How we use it
- To send your quote request to matching vendors, or to find vendors for you when none match.
- To review, publish and manage vendor listings and paid plans.
- To contact you about your request, listing or account, including confirmation emails.
- To keep the site secure and improve it.
Who we share it with
- Vendors: when you request quotes, the vendors matched to your request receive your request and contact details so they can reach you. Your contact details are never shown publicly on the site.
- Service providers who help us run the site: hosting, email delivery (Resend) and payments (Stripe). They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
- When required by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
Independent listings
Some directory listings are based on publicly available business information (such as a business's website or public ratings). Business owners can ask us to update or remove a listing at /request-listing-removal.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information using our contact form at /contact. We will respond within 30 days.
Data retention
We keep submissions for as long as needed to provide our service and meet legal obligations, then delete them.
Children
ConnectAVendor is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
